Eagle Creek Forest Fire
On September 3, 2017 a forest fire was started due to negligent teenagers lighting off fireworks in the dry Oregon forest. By September 5, 2017 the fire was sweeping the Columbia River Gorge forcing evacuations while the fire fighters struggle to gain control over it as it speeds toward the Portland Metropolitan area.
